At Ecofique, our mission is to provide comprehensive solutions to fique shredding and its agroindustrial potential. Main achievements

  • ICA Certification in the Plant (September 2020): One of our most notable achievements has been obtaining certification from the Colombian Agricultural Institute (ICA) in September 2020. This certification is a testimony of our commitment to quality and the health status of the department. Thanks to this certification, we have established a solid foundation to guarantee the quality of our plants and seeds, which increases the confidence of our customers and partners.
  • Presidency of the Multisectorial Table of Fique and Other Fibers: We are proud that our agricultural engineer, Marilyn, has been named president of the Multisectoral Table of Fique and Other Fibers. This appointment reflects recognition of our experience and leadership in the natural fibers industry. Through this position, we are contributing significantly to the development and strengthening of this important industry.
  • Development of an Organic Fertilizer (Fique power): Another notable achievement has been our success in creating a completely organic fertilizer. This product not only benefits our crops and the environment by reducing the ecological footprint, but also positions us as leaders in sustainability and environmental responsibility in our industry.

Current Objectives and Goals

Our current objectives are aligned with our vision of improving the quality of life of fique producers in Colombia and protecting our environment. We are committed to transforming the fique industry and creating a positive impact on communities and nature. Below are our objectives and goals:

  • Improve the Quality of Life of Fique Producers: Our main goal is to improve the living conditions of fique producers in Colombia. This includes strengthening their capacities, access to fair markets and promoting sustainable farming practices.
  • Protect the Environment: We are committed to minimizing our environmental impact and promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
  • Transform the Shredding Process: Our vision is to completely eradicate the negative impacts on the field during the fique shredding process.
  • Create Organic Products and Clean Crops: We will continue to develop organic products and promote the transition to clean and sustainable crops.
  • Offer Machinery and Equipment for Fiquero Benefit Centers: Our objective is to facilitate access to modern technology for fiquero benefit centers in Colombia. In the next semester, we plan to provide equipment with installation and maintenance services to small and large financial profit centers in the country.
